Established in the UK in 1991, TRA’s roots lie in Usui Shiki Ryōhō, but welcomes all styles of Reiki.
TRA has a simple yet profound purpose, to unite enthusiasts and practitioners in creating a supportive global community, fostering a shared connection that spans the globe.
At the heart of TRA is the Usui Shiki Ryōhō lineage as expressed by Hawayo Takata, Phyllis Lei Furumoto and named successor Johannes Reindl. TRA acts as a hub to connect all those practitioners and students who share the common passion for Reiki.
Proudly standing as a founder member of the Reiki Council, TRA plays a significant role in supporting the public and professional practice of Reiki. TRA actively contributes to the development and evaluation of approved courses of learning, setting standards of practice, and provides professional verification services for practitioners seeking Complementary and Natural Health Council (CNHC) registration.
TRA is a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation led by an elected Council supported by a ‘Circle of Service’ who volunteer their services the provide daily administration, event organisation, communicate and engage members, and enable the Reiki healing support networks.
TRA is not just for professional Reiki Practitioners. We welcome and support all facets of Reiki, whether you are treating family and friends, or self-treating within a personal practice of healing and spiritual development, TRA is there offering guidance and community connection.
